Sometimes, we find it hard to decide what we want to achieve in life. More of the times, we don’t know where the life is taking us. Our life sucks at such points!
Let’s admit it! We all feel stuck at least once at some stage of life. And when such awful times arrive, don’t let them ping you down in the life-ring. The ones who cannot figure out what they happily want to pursue in life, experiment with everything that’s on their to-do list. Put a cross on the career and educational options which don’t enthrall you and in the end, you’ll find that very thing that will keep you excited throughout. And eventually, your ‘Life Sucks’ phrase will be replaced by ‘Life is Awesome’. Here are a few tips which will help to reconsider your options once and for all.
Let your discomfort comfort you!
If you are driven by a specific job role, and you know that it will never cause monotony to your life, this means you’ve at least sorted what you want to do. But if you are resistant to pursue it just because of the discomfort that it brings along, you’re doing it wrong. Make yourself comfortable in discomfort because you’ll get to do those things that keep you happy. And I guess, happiness creates a sense of satisfaction in all of us, and this is what we spend our entire life for.
Don’t aim to sort out your whole life today!
We cannot predict what’s in the box for us in future. Sometimes, the reality is entirely different from what we plan for ourselves. And that’s pretty cool! You’ll see lots of twists and turns in life, but if you’re into something that keeps you happy, and doesn’t let you feel exhausted even for a second, your entire journey will seem fascinating and captivating. Say, you love to write and keep others inspired by your content. And who knows in the next three or four years, you’ll be the author of one of the best-selling novels. Persistence is the key to be happy with what you’re currently doing.
Go with the flow
We, hoomans, don’t have the power to forecast our future. Even when you encounter the worst phase of your life, be it losing your job or even your home, stay strong, take it as a challenge and yes, look for something better. A person who knows how to turn a bad situation into an opportunity is the real winner.
Do some self-introspection
In the hustle and bustle, find some time for yourself, and ask yourself some important questions, irrespective of how minor or major relevance they have. Make a list of things that you find interesting and would have undertaken, provided money and time were no constraints. Relax your mind and create a picture in your mind where you’re yourself accomplishing your dreams and doing things that interest you.
Bid adieu to distractions; Don’t procrastinate
The earlier you start focusing on your dreams and life goals, the better it is. Whether you want to be a successful accountant or a web designer, just exploit that opportunity now. Have those baby steps and don’t let social media distract you even for a second. After all, looking at your social media handles after five or ten years won’t excite you as much as your success will.
Also, you can volunteer for the job or field that interests you. It will help in giving you a clear picture of the overall scenario, and ultimately, you’ll be able to decide if you really want to pursue it or not. You can avoid making impulse purchases and instead, start saving for pursuing your dreams. After reading this article, I really hope that you won’t feel that your life sucks, and you’ll discover what to choose and how to pursue it, no matter how short you fall of resources.
