The English team is in India currently for a testing tour playing under the captaincy of Alastair Cook. All the players listed below have already called it a day from international Test cricket. Alastair Cook is the only player who still has some cricket left in him. With 135 Tests (before playing in the ongoing match) and 10,688 runs under his belt, Cook has a decent chance of overtaking the record of the most runs scored by the legend himself Sachin Tendulkar.

Cook needs to keep scoring at the consistent rate, which he has currently maintained and the England and Wales Cricket Board keep organizing matches. If it’is understood this way, Cook will need about five years to go past Tendulkar.
